A hike to the top of Circle Z mountain is a two hour scenic hike with breathe taking views. The elevation gain is 500 feet, and considered an easy hike. We also have the Bradford mine hike, which takes you along Sonoita Creek, up a side canyon, and finishes with a climb to an old copper mine. This is a great spot to find low to medium grade turquoise. There are hundreds of miles of trails on and around the Circle Z that appeal to hikers of all levels of ability. Take the easy way down to the lake along the old railroad right-of-way, or head for the high country from your 4,000-foot base camp. The town of Patagonia is a “gateway” to the 600-mile Arizona Trail, with trail-heads both north and south of town.
