During your week-long stay you will be wowed by our three cookout meals. The cooks fire up the grill on Monday evenings and start searing the steaks on the patio behind the lodge. You can soak up the juices with our jalapeño corn bread while enjoying sides of baked beans, rosemary potatoes, and corn on the cob. For vegetarians, we have other delicious options. When the evening temperatures are nice in the fall and spring, we set up for outdoor seating.
Wednesday is our Chuck wagon cook-out. During the warmer months and all major holidays, we offer this as a breakfast ride. Heading directly to the Chuck wagon site in the morning, you will be greeted by the aroma of cowboy coffee and sizzling bacon. Wranglers prepare scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and potatoes over an open fire, while pancakes and tortillas cook on the griddle.
During the cooler months our time at the Chuck-wagon is a lunch time affair. After an amazing morning ride you will be served either hamburgers and hotdogs, or a savory dutch oven stew at our beautiful chuck wagon location. Baked beans, quesadillas, and cheese crisps are prepared to perfection, while fresh fruit, a variety of salads, and a vegetable and relish tray provide even more delicious options.
Saturdays is another special day with a picnic cook-out served at our Bar Z Ranch, just a few miles down the trail from the corral. After a scenic morning ride, our staff will greet you at our outdoor grill with freshly prepared barbecue ribs and chicken. Fresh potato salad, coleslaw, and watermelon will round out your meal.
