Greetings from the beautiful Circle Z Ranch! We hope you and your loved ones are safe and enjoying the summer months. We would like to share with you our status regarding opening this coming fall and the decisions we have made.

Closing the ranch this spring, five weeks shy of our season finale was difficult. Yet in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, with all the uncertainty around it, we felt it was our only option. In the ensuing quiet, we immediately went to work planning for the future, with the best information available at the time. We were making great progress in planning safe and acceptable protocols, including some changes to our physical plant. Our heart-felt ambition was to be positive amidst this pandemic, yet not to lose sight of what is most important: the safety and satisfaction of our guests, our staff, and our surrounding community. We truely wanted to provide a safe haven for you all this coming winter.

Sadly, the virus had a different intent, and Arizona is now one of the worst hit areas, seeing record breaking cases and even more uncertainty of what the fall and winter months will bring. As the situation is unfolding in the southwest, we cannot see a way to safely bring guests to the ranch, and to welcome them with the open arms and hospitality that have been our hallmarks for nearly a century. So, for the first time in 94 years, we have decided it is in the best interest of everyone to take a break this winter, and to not open our doors for the 2020-2021 guest season.

But we will be back stronger than ever in the Fall of 2021!! And though we are heartbroken that we will not see you, our guests and family, this season, we look at this as a time to sit back, take a breath and reflect on what Circle Z Ranch has been and what it can become in the future for the generations to come.
